System Designer
Matt Manalis
With early beginnings as a commercial projectionist Matt boasts a pedigree second to none. Now he’s designing custom home cinemas as opposed to the largest project he has worked on, the conversion of Southbank’s iMax theatre to a commercial 35mm cinema.
His commercial portfolio is heavily weighted toward project management with security and even fire system design & installation. Managing larger scale sites like shopping centres and airports exposed him to broader system functions such as lighting and climate automation.
Combining all his qualifications and passion for living simplicity, Matt started his own business catering to both the residential and commercial sector designing and installing complete solutions. He and his business partner Brendon now join Digital Residence as directors and bring a wealth of knowledge with them as well as equalled respect in the industry.
Project Manager
Regan Webb
As a hobbyist custom car audio installer, Regan crossed paths with Aaron early on. Always pushing the boundaries on creativity Regan felt great accomplishment bringing to life lavish systems and always trusted Aaron when it came to advice and supply of components.
Word of mouth in this industry landed him his first retail job in audio/visual where he was soon elevated to management. This new inventory to call on meant new designs and customisation on a greater scale… the whole home!
With the drop in price and increase in size of plasma as well as LCD screens, the sales volume of each soared. The increase in sales created a niche in the market for their installation. Late in 2004 Regan made the move from retailing to running his own business providing installation to the JB HiFi chain.
Installation soon became custom installation and before too long the whole home was target to Regan’s designs. Electronics became smarter and integration to whole home control solutions was essential. After trading for a few years catering to this combined work load of retail chain install plus custom home integration it became apparent that expansion was crucial.
Partnering with Aaron in 2009 the two fortified their brand relationships and surged forward until the opening of their first stand alone store in 2011. Now with a team of 12 and catering to the residential and commercial industries the business is growing again. Regan recently has moved from project management now to client liaison.
Project Manager
Brendon Cousemacker
Before moving to Queensland in 2007 to start his own business in the Cabinet Making industry, Brendon did his trade and mastered many specialist machining skills in Grafton. Eventually leading “shop-fit” for Barbeques Galore across Australia he progressed into quality control and project management. Prior to all this Brendon worked as a projectionist at the Yamba Cinema for almost 5 years.
In 2010 Brendon started a new venture in the automation and communications industry with Matt. His unique skill set enabled him as one of the most innovative custom designers/installers in the industry and before too long their team began catering to the upper end of the market in digital residential solutions.
Now a director in Digital Residence Brendon is in his element overseeing multiple custom installations as project manager.
